Welcome to a Different Kind of Kitchen
If you have ever felt like modern recipes move too fast, skip the story behind the ingredients, or leave you wondering why something works instead of helping you truly understand it, you are not alone.
Bite Me Industries exists for cooks who want something deeper. Not complicated, not intimidating, but thoughtful. A place where ingredients matter, where recipes are tested with care, and where cooking feels connected again.
Here, food is not just instructions. It is experience, curiosity, and connection.

I’m Tami, and This Is the Kitchen That Shaped Me
I’m Tami Steggell, professional baker, recipe developer, and founder of RubySnap Fresh Cookies, a bakery I launched in Salt Lake City in 2008. After years of developing recipes professionally and working closely with ingredients every day, I began to see cooking differently.
Flavor is not accidental. Structure matters. Ingredients have stories, and when we understand them, cooking becomes more intuitive and more joyful.
Before food, I spent fifteen years as an architectural designer, and that foundation still shapes my work today. Recipes should feel clear, purposeful, and beautifully structured, allowing you to move through them with confidence.

Why This Space Exists
I believe cooking at home is an art worth preserving.
Not because it needs to be perfect, but because it strengthens families, builds community, and turns everyday moments into memories.
In a world filled with shortcuts and noise, my goal is to help you slow down just enough to reconnect with real ingredients and rediscover the quiet satisfaction of creating something meaningful with your hands.
Honoring the Source
Every recipe begins long before it reaches the kitchen.
Farmers, millers, ranchers, and growers shape the flavor of our food long before we pick up a knife or turn on the oven. My work is rooted in honoring those hands and helping you understand the journey behind your ingredients.
Local is not only geography. It is awareness. Wherever you are, there are stories behind the food you cook, and my hope is to help you see and celebrate them.

What You Will Experience Here
This is more than a recipe site. It is a place for learning, exploring, and growing as a cook.
You will find:
• deeply tested recipes written with clarity and intention
• ingredient education that builds confidence naturally
• seasonal cooking inspired by real producers
• techniques that explain the “why” behind the process
• honest recommendations based on real use, never marketing trends
Cooking should feel approachable, grounded, and rewarding.
The Journey That Shaped Me
My culinary perspective began across cultures. I grew up in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, where European imports and vibrant local street food existed side by side. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong curiosity about flavor and ingredient sourcing.
I later studied and cooked across Indonesia, Mexico, Morocco, and Italy, including graduating from gelato school in Bologna. Each experience shaped how I see food, not just as nourishment, but as storytelling.
In 2008, I founded RubySnap Fresh Cookies, where distinctive flavors and ingredient integrity became the foundation of my professional work.
Today, I live in Salt Lake City with my husband, together we have seven incredible children. In our home, we gather for what we call “Rough Sundays,” meals where connection matters more than perfection.
My Promise
Authenticity is not a trend here, it is the foundation.
I only share tools, brands, and ingredients I genuinely use. Recipes are tested with care because trust between us matters more than anything else.
Beyond Recipes
Bite Me Industries is evolving into more than a recipe archive. It is a growing space for ingredient education, farmer storytelling, and honoring the people who keep real food alive.
You may have seen me teaching at Orson Gygi or sharing recipes on Studio 5 KSL and The Noon Show, but my greatest joy is building a community where learning feels welcoming and food becomes a shared language.
